BMW become 24th sponsor for the London 2012 Olympics

BMW have formally announced that they will be the official sponsor for the 2012 Olympic Games. This will mean a fleet of 4,000 vehicles including the Mini and BMW bicycles and motorcycles will be used by athletes, officials, and staff during the Games.

They are also a sustainability partner which means they will have to meet low carbon and healthy living challenges.

The organisers of the London Olympics have now raised more than £550m of the £700m sponsorship target.
