Established in 1975 ASE’s growth is founded on our unique focus, providing automotive expertise to gain and retain the trust of our Clients.

Our History

Established in 1975 by Trevor Jones, an awarding winning Ford dealership accountant and general manager, as well as a premier league football referee. From the outset, Trevor and his team:

  • Worked with automotive dealers, producing their accounts to ensure compliance and deliver management information to the dealership owners
  • Collated operational and Financial dealership data, to identify areas of risk and opportunity for dealers and the automotive manufacturers
  • Created a team of automotive industry experienced operators, to work alongside dealers and the manufacturers to action the insight generated by this data
  • Developed a 14 point health check, to quickly assess and monitor the performance of a dealership

Over 40 years later and these are still the foundations of the solutions ASE’s team provide to the automotive sector around the world. Retaining its family values, ASE now has a global capability.

From 14 offices located globally, ASE’s team of 280 now work alongside 14,000 automotive dealers, every automotive manufacturer and in over 50 international markets. Trevor Jones’ health check has become the globally recognised benchmark of ASE’s 14 Key Performance Indicators for dealership performance, used by clients and competitors throughout the world.
